Unfortunately, it does take some time. Pool building can be a lengthy process but, hopefully, it won’t be too long of a wait. Finding the Right builder
This step surprises people. Finding a pool builder can actually take a good while. You’ll spend a good amount of time doing research, asking friends or family members, talking to builders themselves, and trying to contact references. This can be as short or long of a process as you want, but to find the right pool building pros, you should take a few weeks.
Design and Study
This is when you work with your builder to design your pool. It takes between 3-6 weeks to fully flesh out what your pool will look like, plus we have to go through multiple meetings and design revisions. We’ll need to pull your records on property lines, wells, setbacks, utilities, and your septic tank as well. This will all make construction a bit easier.
Construction
This is when it all comes together! The construction phase is an exciting time. Permits have been secured and your pool is planned to perfection. This involves digging a hole for the pool and installing it. It also includes the installation of necessary plumbing and electrical components, as well as any outdoor features you may have, or additions like a nice hot tub.
This phase can last for a variety amount of time depending on what kind of pool you get. Fiberglass pools can be installed in a short time frame because the entire body is pre-fabricated, whereas concrete pools can take a long time. Ask your pool builder beforehand to give you a rough estimate!
